Volleyball Squad Off to Solid Start in Split with Raritan Valley and Sussex CCC

With several new and talented players plus a core of returnees, Volleyball Coach Samantha Bevilacqua hopes her team is in the mix to enjoy a winning 2025 campaign.

And her Roadrunners' opening-day performances Saturday against two conference opponents, has certainly sparked some optimism among local fans.

Against traditional power Raritan Valley, the Runners played well, but dropped all three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 27-25.

In the win over Sussex, the Runners swept all three sets by scores of 25-5, 25-2, and 25-6. Watch for more game details.

So with the season starting off with a 1-1 record, Coach Bevilacqua is simply hoping her players keep bonding and improving as a team.

Up next for the Runners will be two key home and home matches, starting with a road match vs. Atlantic Cape Monday at 6 pm followed by a home match Wednesday vs. the Bucks, also at 6 pm.
