Angelina Bluford and Kayleigh Shuff scored first career goals in a tough opening season match, a 3-2 loss to Division 1 Harford CC on the road in Bel Air, MD.
The unbeaten Fighting Owls (2-0) grabbed a quick 2-0 first half lead on goals by Lauren Westbrook and Remi Rollins. The Runners moved to within 2-1 on Shuff's goal prior to halftime.
Harford's Sarah Barnes netted an unassisted goal midway through the second half before Bluford's late goal, assisted by Emya Mays made it 3-2.
But the Runners were unable to complete the rally.
