Team on the Rise: Roadrunner Women's Soccer Earns National Recognition with Solid Season!

It's just slightly past the mid-point of the 2025 season, and first-year Roadrunner Women's Soccer Coach Tom Eichhorn has seen plenty of positives from his team.

Yes, there is plenty to cheer about!

Afterall, the Runners have risen to the No. 3 spot in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings with a 6-3-2 record against a tough regional schedule. And many players have contributed thanks to a roster loaded with talent, versatility and determination.

The Runners are now in the middle of their conference and regional schedule, one that will be critical in determining the team's seeding in upcoming postseason tournament play. In the coming week, they will face Atlantic Cape, Essex County, and Brookdale, with the match against the Jersey Blues in Lincroft posing as a huge battle.

"We have challenged ourselves early ..played against some tough competition ... and the results have proven that the girls are working hard -- they're scoring goals, they're defending and they're doing everything we've asked of them," said Eichhorn. "It's really working out well."

Several players, freshmen and sophomores alike, have sparked the team's success.

Returnee Ava Pino, a Delsea graduate, has performed well at midfield. Freshman Brianna Morgan has anchored the back line while teammates Brianna Howard and Ava Delaney have provided a solid attack with freshman Ryann Foote adding solid scoring power off the bench.

Others have contributed as well, including Angelina Rodriguez, Allie Blankenship, Emily Belsanti and Jordyn White among others with pretty much everyone on the roster playing their top-level games currently.

And the Runners' amazing depth and tough schedule will likely help them during the final stretch of the regular season and the postseason.

"As you get to the post-season, everyone is tough -- everyone's playing their best games," Coach Eicjhorn commented. "Those early season games against teams like Sussex, Mercer and Harcum have hopefully prepared us for what we're about to face."
