All-Time Leader in Career Wins! Coach Cooper Earns Milestone Win in Roadrunner Victory Over Ocean County College!

Roadrunner Women's Basketball Coach Rich Cooper collected his first win for the program way back in the 2013-14 with an easy win over Montgomery County Community College.

Today, he is the school's all-time leader in overall wins for the Women's program as he gathered his 209th career win with a 74-41 victory over host Ocean County College Tuesday night.

The triumph helped Coach Coop to surpass long-time Coach Tom McCormack as the program's all=time leader in the win column. Coach Coop's career record now stands at a glittering 209 wins and 85 losses.

The No. 15 nationally ranked Runners led from start to finish, racing to a 40-15 halftime lead and never looking back.

"Getting the record means a lot, and I can never stop saying thank you to all the players, coaches and staff who helped make this possible," said Cooper following the win. "Everyone has been very supportive through the year and it's helped our program enjoy a lot of success on the regional and national levels."

Coach Cooper also wanted to reiterate his thanks to former Coach McCormack for his support as well. Cooper served as an assistant for one season before taking on the head coaching position.

"Coach McCormack taught me a lot, and it was always great seeing him at the games over the years," said Cooper. "To be able to breat his record means a lot to me personally."

Next up for the Runners is a key home game versus Brookdale on January 15th in a 5 pm tipoff.
