No. 1 seed Roadrunner Baseball will return to action Friday afternoon, May 15, when they compete in a Region 19 Final Four elimination game at Rutgers-Camden starting tentatively at 3 pm.
The Runners will meet either No. 2 Brookdale or No. 4 Middlesex College. RCSJ hopes to advance to the Region 19 championship finals with a win.
Coach Rob Valli's Runners dropped a 13-5 decision to No. 4 Middlesex in the opening round and then bounced back to take a 7-2 win over No. 6 Camden in an elimination contest.
RCSJ has won three straight NJCAA Division III National Championships and is looking to secure another berth in the upcoming NJCAA D III World Series.

Tournament Preview
The NJCAA Region 19 Baseball seedings and schedules have been announced by the Baseball Committee. Roadrunner Baseball has been named the No. 1 overall seed with Brookdale receiving the No. 2 seed.
As always, the three-time defending NJCAA D III National Champions will feature one of the nation's strongest lineups as well as a solid pitching staff. Coach Rob Valli's team turned in another impressive regular season with a 34-10 overall record against some of the top competition in NJCAA Division III. The Runners also picked up another Garden State Athletic Conference title along the way.

Among the hitting leaders in NJCAA Division III nationally are the Runners' Nick Slogik (19 HR/78 RBI/.474 BA), Jack Mustaro (16 HR/84 RBI/.465 BA), Alex Apicella (10 HR/63 RBI/.417 BA), and Nick Izzo (12 HR/66 RBI/.425 BA). Other top contributors are Gavin Cohen (.401 BA), Caleb Delaney (.400 BA/51 RBI), Jayden Rosado (.389 BA / 52 RBI). Joe Maier (7 HR/45 RBI I.415 BA) and DH Carter Cumiskey among others.
The pitching staff endured a long regular season and has emerged strong heading into the playoffs. Doug King (5-0/3.32 ERA). Bryson Kirby (4-2) and Matt Hewitt (4-0) will all be available for duty as will sophomore Tommy Bradley (5-1), Brevin Bezick (4-1), and Kevin Ruff (2-0). Also looking to contribute will be pitchers, Victor Oquendo, Scott Lynch and Dan Hutchison.
Valli is confident that his team is ready for the postseason as they gear up for another lengthy playoff run.
"Our goal of winning a national championship has not changed," said Valli. "We have enough healthy players who will be competitive in the short series that we see in the playoffs. We're ready to go."
