The 2022 baseball season is proving to be one of milestones for RCSJ Baseball coach Rob Valli -- and on Saturday he reached another important marker in his great career.
The veteran skipper recorded his 500th career win as a head coach for RCSJ / Gloucester County College when his team defeated visiting Middlesex College 17-5 in Game 1 of a doubleheader. Earlier this season Valli reached 600 career wins, including his stints at NCAA Temple University and RCSJ/GCC
In Game 1 that sealed the coach's 500th win, Aaron Graber slammed a two-run homer and collected four hits and three RBIs to lead the triumph. Rightfielder Shawn Dougherty also collected four hits and two RBIs while catcher Mitchell Balint drove in three runs.
Southpaw pitcher Joe Marino hurled five innings for the win to run his record to 5-0.

The No. 1 nationally ranked Roadrunners ran their win streak to five and improved their overall record to 16-3.
Next up will be a home game against ASA Brooklyn Avengers on Tuesday in a 3:30 pm contest.
