Nick Slogik, Baseball

Today, we highlight Baseball standout Nick Slogik, who led the Roadrunners to an NJCAA Division III National Championship under veteran Coach Rob Valli as a junior and who has enjoyed a solid 2026 sophomore campaign as well.

Year: Sophomore.

High School: Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, PA), Class of 2024.

Hometown: Lititz, PA.

Height/Weight: 6 feet, 5 inches, 240 pounds.

Position: First Base

Major: Arts / Business. Hopes to complete his BA in Business at a four-year school with the goal of owning a home building business when he enters the work force. Nick also hopes to continue his baseball career at a four-year NCAA program.

Favorite Activities: Watching pro sports and movies. His favorite athlete is the Athletics' Nick Kurtz, a Lancaster, PA native and former Wake Forest standout.

His favorite movie is Disney's Cars.

About Nick Slogik: Nick has taken his game to the highest level as he continues to be recognized as one of the nation's top power hitters. He currently has a .478 BA in 41 games with 19 home runs, 82 RBIs and 77 runs scored.

In his freshman year, Slogik enjoyed a breakout campaign as well. He hit .364 with 11 home runs, 73 RBIs and 73 runs scored in 53 games. He played a key role in the Runners storming to their third straight NJCAA Division III World Series championship in Spring 2025.

At Bishop McDevitt High School near Harrisburg, Slogik starred in baseball and football. In baseball, he registered a .440 career batting average in two varsity seasons. In football, he was one of the area's top receivers with 6 touchdown receptions in two seasons.

Nick Slogik on His Transition to the College Game: "Coming here has literally saved my life," he said. "I've met some of my best friends here, and they have helped me become a better baseball player and more importantly a better human being.

"I would do it all over again if I was given the choice (enrolling at RCSJ)," Nick added. "I really love being here."

Nick Slogik on Playing for Coach Rob Valli:  "Having coach Valli as a coach is definitely pivotal to our success," he said.  "He knows the recipe to help us win a World Series and he works tirelessly to make sure we’re prepared."
