Congratulations to the Northampton CC Spartans who took home the first NJCAA Region 19 Championship of the 2021-22 year! Elizabeth Hozza and Emilee Brewer clinched the title for first-year head coach Tammy Smith with their win at #1 doubles. The Spartans outlasted the Cougars of Camden CC who took home the runner-up award.

DAY 1 RECAP:
After the first day of play, the Camden County College Cougars have taken a lead with seven team points. Northampton CC is in second place with five total team points and RCSJ-Gloucester is in third with two points.
The Cougars swept their matches on the day and will be in the drivers seat on Saturday when play resumes at 10am. Singles championship matches will be first on court followed by the doubles.

Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester will once again host the upcoming NJCAA Region 19 Women's Tennis Championship this Fall. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 15th at 1:00pm at the Roadrunner Tennis Complex in Deptford, NJ. This years event is scheduled to conclude on Saturday with Sunday held as a rain date for the event if needed.
The four team field will consist of the Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester Roadrunners, the Ocean County College Vikings, the Camden County College Cougars, and the Northampton Community College Spartans.

Tournament Preview
Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester will once again host the upcoming NJCAA Region 19 Women's Tennis Championship this Fall. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 15th at 1:00pm at the Roadrunner Tennis Complex in Deptford, NJ. A coaches meeting is scheduled via Zoom for Wednesday, October 13th at 3:00pm where tournament logistics will be reviewed and seeding completed. Tournament draws will be released to the teams following that meeting.
