Rowan College at Gloucester County has been selected to host the 2019 Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Wrestling Championships on Saturday, January 26th.
The GSACs are scheduled to begin at 11:00am with weigh-ins taking place one hour prior. A full schedule, including participating teams, individual matches, brackets and specific start times will be announced at a later date. Roadrunner Athletics will also post times for the NJCAA TV broadcast.
"We are thrilled to host the GSAC Wrestling Championships," said RCGC Athletic Director Brian Rowan. "Hosting this tournament shows the respect our wrestling program has achieved over the past year."
Indeed, one of the top contenders for the GSAC titles will be the Roadrunners, who have enjoyed a solid 2018-19 season under first-year coach Dan Antonelli. Top wrestlers include first-year wrestlers Dylan Fischer, Anthony Pencook, and Jared Carr, along with second-year standout Dylan Skidmore.
"It can't be any more exciting than this -- competing for a GSAC Championship right here in our home gym," said Antonelli. "I have no doubt our wrestlers will be competing at the highest level during tournament time."
