Season Preview 2026: Roadrunner Softball Sets Sights on Winning Campaign Under Hall of Fame Coach Steve DePasquale

Roadrunner Softball will play its 32nd and final season this spring under veteran Coach Steve DePasquale, a Hall of Fame mastermind who has compiled over 900 career wins during his illustrious career. DePasquale, the only coach in the program's history, announced his intention to retire following the 2026 season.

And his 2026 season may prove to be one of his best. See below for information on the 2026 roster. The season is set to open tentatively on Thursday, March 5, vs. Salem Community College depending on field availability. Watch for updates.

Roadrunner Athletics 2026 Softball

Head Coach: Steve DePasquale, 32nd season; career record: 923-417-3 since 1996, two NJCAA DIII national championships, 8 Region titles,
Assistant Coaches: Bill Collins, NJCAA D III National Assistant Coach of the Year 2023; Lynnsie Collins

2025 Season: 35-12 overall record; fourth place, NJCAA Division III World Series; Region 19, North Atlantic District champions; Garden State Athletic Conference champions.

Returning starters and players: Sienna Walterson, DP, All-American; Emily Childs, Region 19 Pitcher of the Year; Ella Crosbee, 2B; Jordan Johnson, OF; Angelina Lindner, SS.

Coach Steve DePasquale on the 2026 Season: "The coaching staff is very excited about the upcoming spring season. We have a talented and hard-working group of ladies ready to battle on the field and in the classroom."

Sophomore Angelina Lindner's Outlook on the 2026 Season: "We came in fourth last year at Nationals and saw what the competition was like -- so we're confident we'll be ready and that we can place even higher. We have a tough schedule and a great group of players who want to succeed."

Sophomore Ella Crosbee's Outlook on the 2026 Season: "We're really excited about the season! Our sophomores have great connections, and we all work well together. And our freshmen are talented and working hard with the coaches and teammates to be ready for the season. We're optimistic we can go farther than we did last spring."

Sophomore Sienna Walterson's Outlook on the 2026 Season: "We really feel we can go all the way this year. We have a great group of girls who help each other out and always look to improve. Plus the coaching staff is fabulous! We will be well prepared to step up to the next level this season."
